Coronavirus Amazingfactsofuniverseupdate in India: India's health ministry said the country had 6,412 coronavirus cases and almost 200 deaths from the disease till Friday, as millions waited to know if a three-week lockdown of the country will end on April 14. The government denied reports of community transmission.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will interact with chief ministers on Saturday via video conference for a decision on the lockdown. The pandemic has derailed national economies, prompting the International Monetary Fund (IMF) to say the world must brace for "the worst economic fallout since the Great Depression."
Coronavirus world update: The US has so far recorded 468,566 and 16,691 people have died due to the virus. The United Kingdom's Prime Minister Boris Johnson has been moved out of intensive care but kept in hospital for Covid-19 treatment.

NCW launches WhatsApp number to report domestic violence during lockdown
The National Commission for Women (NCW) launched a WhatsApp number --7217735372 on Friday to report cases of domestic violence, which have seen a rise during the lockdown period. In a tweet, the NCW urged people to report such cases through messages on the number so that the agency can provide support and assistance to women in distress or experiencing domestic violence. The number has only been launched for the period of COVID-19 lockdown till normal offices resume, the NCW said.

The petrol pumps across Odisha on Friday came out with a stringent rule, No Mask, No Petrol/Diesel /CNG, in a bid to strictly enforce government's order making wearing of face masks mandatory while going out of homes. The fuel outlets decision was announced by Utkal Petroleum Dealers Association general secretary Sanjay Lath here. There are about 1600 fuel outlets across Odisha. "The decision has been taken to ensure that people follow the governments guidelines", Lath said. Reports from Bhubaneswar and various parts of the state said that grocery and vegetables shop owners are also denying sell of items to the customers not wearing masks.
